Leen Praet - Inside Account Manager

After five years of experience in the leisure sector I arrived at BCD Travel as a Business Travel Consultant. Organizing trips, trains, flights, hotels and everything in between quickly proved to be quite something for me!

No two trips are the same and I learned more. Not only is the job itself varied but also working for an international company brings challenges that you will not find elsewhere! Two years ago I went to Madrid, where a colleague and I assisted with travel bookings in our Spanish office. A challenge indeed!

Recently I joined the sales team where I now am the Inside Account Manager for small and medium customers. Totally new job that I approach with great enthusiasm.

And, who knows where my career will take within BCD Travel. I look forward to it!

Joke Goris -  Travel Consultant

In 2006 I started my career at BCD Travel in the first junior class in Belgium. It was an amazing opportunity for me to get this professional education. For three months we’ve learned about the company, the reservation system and the travel industry in general.

After finishing junior class, I was ready to start as a business travel agent for two new customers. This was very challenging as there was still a lot to learn, even though we had received a very good training.

One and a half year later, I decided to join the flexible team and I’m still part of that team today. I already worked for a few different customers and during two summer seasons I got the opportunity to join the Medical Desk.

My work in the flexible team not only helped me to learn a lot professionally, I also got to know many different and interesting people over the years.

After being a travel agent for almost six years now and  I am still learning every day. That is what I love about this job.

Ronny Haesaerts - Quality Manager

After my studies at the Erasmus University in Anderlecht and doing my military service, I started working in the travel industry. It was a small agency with nine travel agents and two computers. Most of the work was done manually and there was only the telephone as means of communication with customers. Since then, the tourist industry and BCD Travel have changed and evolved. Everything today is much more automated and goes much faster.

Twenty years after joining BCD Travel, I’m now Quality Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg. A very interesting job with lots of challenges and many opportunities. I work very closely with other Quality Managers, Business Analysts and many colleagues all over Europe.

I often work with international colleagues and together we search and find solutions for all the challenges we face. We share the same goals: to work together efficiently and productively and to ensure that BCD Travel remains the best business travel agency for all our customers.

That team feeling is something that hasn’t changed in twenty years. On the contrary: it has only grown stronger.

Liliane Mommens - Travel Consultant

It took a while before I decided to my leave my previous job. I worked for a fun, young company, had a lot of variety every day and enjoyed good contact with customers. It was actually a dream job but in my last year there, I realized I was missing something. I often had the feeling that I needed to do something else. So, I went in search of a new challenge!

Hence I arrived at the BCD Travel implant DEME. This job is totally different, being both an implant and Business Travel agency, two things that were new to me.

It was quite a change and after eight months I am still convinced that this was  the right step to take. The variety of work, the cool atmosphere and especially the great colleagues give me my new dream job!

Ellen Milan - Business Travel Consultant in an implant

After my degree in Tourism and Recreational Management, I was lucky to start as a Junior Travel Consultant at BCD Travel in 2010. After an intensive training of three months, I started to work as a travel agent for several small and medium sized clients from the headquarters in Antwerp. My job included booking flights, hotels, rental cars and trains for my customers.

Despite my lack of experience at the beginning, everybody was very welcoming and I learned a lot. After several months I saw a vacancy for a Business Travel Consultant at the Implant DEME. From the moment I started there I was intrigued about working at an implant. My initial doubts were unnecessary and I never looked back. I immediately felt at home in the Implant DEME.

My colleagues are always ready to help both during and outside office hours. Every day is different and each day I learn many new things. And that is why I go to work every day with a smile!
